McGrath Civils were sub-contracted by a leading international infrastructure group to erect a concrete retaining wall as part of the Calcot A4 widening scheme.
The concrete retaining wall measured 500 meters along the busy A4, outside of London.
We completed the retaining wall project in 4 months, on time, on budget and without incident.

The A4 widening scheme was a major infrastructure improvement project, on the westbound approach to M4, J5.
Balfour Beatty sub-contracted us to construct a 500 meter long retaining wall, as part of the widening scheme.
Due to a single point of access, this project required considerable advanced coordination of plant movement, site deliveries, as well as concrete pouring.
The project lasted 4 months and was completed without any accident or incident.
