Groundworks & Concrete Flooring at the RNLI Boathouse, Shoreham-by-Sea
The iconic RNLI Boathouse in Shoreham-by-Sea underwent extensive re-development in 2010 and is now a popular local tourist attraction and well regarded local landmark. We were contracted to carry out the groundworks, construct the foundations and the reinforced concrete floor, base and wall which would hold the new RNLI lifeboat and building.
With it's waved walls and radius columns, the boathouse is a fine looking building and it was a pleasure to work on such an iconic project.

We were contracted to construct the RC base and wall to hold the new RNLI lifeboat and building.
This was a complex build involving a waved a radial wall and column structure,
Radius framework is always difficult to bolt together due to the risk of movement. The finish on the concrete is another critical factor.
The RC structure was designed to support the stunning Glulam Timber station as well as provide reliable functionality for the lifeboats and crew.
We shared the clients delight in the end result.
