Weybridge Groundworks - Project Update
It's been another busy 6 weeks at McGrath Civils, with several projects across the Home Counties all seeming to be starting at once.
The groundworks in Weybridge team have been pressing ahead! The piling is pretty much complete and the ground beams are being put in now.
Another groundworks project coming to end and probably only a week or 2 from handing the batten back to our clients, ready for the next phase of their luxury apartment build in Weybridge!

It’s been a busy start to 2025 at McGrath Civils. We've been working on a groundworks and RC project over in Northampton, where we've been helping an M&E company with sub-station works on a new solar farm. It’s been a busy December at McGrath Civils! One of our basement projects in Oxford is coming to end. The team have now poured the ground floor slab, and just in time for Christmas! This has been a really challenging basement, due to the very tight access and the fact that it's set in the middle of the water table but we're delighted with the result and hats off to everyone involved on the project so far. It’s been another busy month at McGrath Civils! I’ve been over in High Wycombe this week, with one of our teams that are working on an ICF project for a private client. The team have carefully designed and built the topek decking system, installed the rebar including the penetrations for roof lights and are then overseeing the 75m3 pour this week. We’re also now installing the up-stand walls for skylights and solar panels, so it’s all systems go over there! We have noticed an increase in the number of swimming pool construction enquiries we have received in 2024. One of our groundworks teams have just finished a groundworks package in Ascot, for a developer building a one-off luxury new-build. We were brought into do all of the site clearance, groundwork and foundations and successfully handed back to the developers, who have now started the blockwork and next phase of the build. In August we finished one of our smaller ICF projects, a bungalow extension in High Wycombe. The client wanted to add a cost effective and energy efficient new living space to their bungalow, so opted for an extension using ICF building methods. We've been over in Buckinghamshire for the last while, working on a new ICF house and basement project, which is really starting to take shape. The team did a fantastic job preparing the site, with the groundworks, piling and footings installed and the block and beam and walls are now going up. It's been a busy start to the Summer of 2024 at McGrath Civils, with groundworks projects starting in Hildenborough in Kent and another in Oxfordshire simultaneously. This site in Hildenborough in Kent is currently being cleared by the team so we can start the groundworks for a large luxury new residential build, for a developer. We've been brought in to do all the groundworks, piling and foundations.
